With these fixtures, I hope are going to have a lot of cricket and less politics for a change and it changes our cricket fortunes :D

Some of the scheduling doesn't make sense. Some of the matches are 4 days long, while some are 3 days long. There's no pattern to it (ie. the Oct 6 games, both different lengths?) so I guess it is a mistake. Also, it appears the Faithwear matches should be taking place the day after the Logan Cup match has concluded... so I think those 3 day affairs should be 4 days long? :?: Hey, it is Cricinfo.
One thing I would be very interested to know is how this amount of cricket will affect the players. A lot of domestic players, I assume, would have jobs outside of cricket. How are they going to get so much time off? There's probably about 90 days of cricket per player in that calender, only some of it on weekends. Where are the franchises going to find the money to get around 15 players on contract (probably this is the minimum number required to ensure a competitive team can take the field in any situation), paid well enough that they do not need to have other jobs? Obviously the greater national team squad (~30 players) will be distributed to the different provinces, but even then a further 40-50 full time domestic players will be required.
In theory this is fantastic, the more full time professionals we have playing in the country the higher the standard of cricket will be which will make positions in the national team more competitive. But in order to achieve this the franchises need money to pay the players and herein lies the dilemma; in recent years the national team has lost Bata and Old Mutual (?) as sponsors - international companies where the real money comes from. So how can a domestic team hope to attract them?

There were some of the same glitches in last year's schedule - I think it's a ZC thing, and not CricInfo's fault. For once. :)
All Logan Cup matches are 4 days, so adjust accordingly.

Given the unemployment rate in Zim, I wouldn't be too quick to make that assumption. There was a report I saw last year somewhere that a lot of provincial players, while technically under full-time contract to their provinces (as would be required with the franchises, too), were moonlighting in the "unofficial economy" when not playing to get their earnings up to a living wage. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the norm.

Being a professional cricketer, they must and should play more and more. It will make the base strong. The fixture is good with many matches. So, the players will be able to bag some domestic cricket under their belt in the forward which will somehow help them appearing in the national level. They will find international cricket a bit easier although they are can't be a comparity between the standard of domestic and international cricket.
As far as the job is concerned, I guess some players have jobs outside cricket and some don't even though I don't know the rate, just guessed. So, probably it's balanced. Anyways, I think the franchises will be known of it and reckon they will rotate the players. I mean they won;t use the same players matches after matches, they will be given a break/rest on the basis of fixture and form/performance.
