The Zimbabwe Senior National Cricket team is in Bulawayo preparing for the five-one day international matches against Bangladesh which kick off on 9th of next month and end on the 18th.

Speaking to ZBC News at the team’s first training session held at Queens Sports Club, the team’s manager Anesu Kafesu said morale and fitness levels were high in the squad with no injury worries.

He said that the squad is set to be trimmed from 19 players to the final 15 after the team’s warm up match against the Bangladesh side on the 7th of August.

The team which began its preparations in Harare arrived in Bulawayo from Victoria Falls where they held a four day training camp.

Hopefully Taylor gets a chance in the warm up match.

Wonder if the teflon kings dabengwa and matsikenyeri will be retained in the final 15 :D

Well i imagine Garwe will drop out and probably Maruma and Manyumwa so that leaves one more to be left out maybe two if Taylor is included so the choice will probably come down to between Dabengwa, Chibhabha, Coventry and Matsikenyeri with two being left out if Taylor plays

I really don't think Charles Coventry will be left out. He was the leading run scorer in the Faithwear and has proved to be devastating batsman in the international cricket previously. So, that will make the options 3.

I dont think Coventry will be dropped besides he is the first choice keeper ahead of Foster. Mastikinyere, Chibhabha most likely to go if Taylor joins the team.
