Bangladesh have been aggressive in preparing square turners against non asian sides. But against the asian sides, they have always prepared flat tracks. Though pitch prepared for Pak test series provided equal help to both batters and bowlers, but still it looked flat in some instances. This sort of track hurts test cricket. It looks like Chittagong pitch is very much close in getting demerit points.

Both Sri Lankan & Bangladeshi pacers are new to test cricket. Bangladesh should have taken chances and gone for preparing green tracks as their pacers looked impressive in New Zeland & South Africa

Lankas 250 odd for 4. Bangladesh would be happy about the run rate, but only happy with the wickets columb if this is a belter. There does seem to be some spin, which for Bangladesh is a bad omen. They are batting last here and Chris Gayle's spin would be enough to roll righ through them on a turner...

That being said, I hope we keep SL to under 400. Need to be disciplined today.

Looks like it will happen. WIll be a good game

Yes, Bangladesh have come back well here, but a brilliant century for Angelo Mathews and SLN do have good runs on the board.

Both SL and BD might've missed a trick by not playing another spinner tbh. Well maybe not BD with 3 spinners but definitely SL

Yes, and this is a stubborn stand for the 9th wicket. Bangladesh will be frustrated by this.

Mathews out for 199. Haha.. That's a bit of an anticlimax. Nothetheless a top knock.

DDS is a more than handy off spinner. I'm sure ge will bowl some overs. If the pitch turns he can win SL the match.

At this point I would put money on a full strength BD team to beat England on any UK Greentop. And I would also put money on us competing better against Australia at the WACA than against Nepal on a dustbowl.

That's how s**t we are at playing spin.

Your board should have put money by preparing green top in Chittagong

Hasaranga, Teekashana, Chameera, Pathirana.....Sri Lanka cricket to go boom veey soon. This bowling can be demolishing to any top batting line up in future. Hope they stop changing players for fun and become a settled unit

Very good century for Tamim, Bangladesh will be delighted he is back in form.

FIrst wicket down, and Tamim gets his 10 career Test century! Well done.

Hoping Shanto and Mominul can get big scores as well.

Don't go by IPL performances, test cricket and even odis are a whole different game. Every year during IPL there is false perception that india can field 3 teams and still win. That's not happening.

Hasaranga is world class in LOIs, I agree on that, the other three as of now, I'm not sure, Chameera has been around for long has good pace but hasn't had the kind of impact.

Shanto falls for a single digit score once again. On a flat track.

His home average continues to be abysmal.

Chahal, Kuldeep, Pandya, Bumrah had more impact through IPL then domestic cricket. Chameera had injury issue, he is slowly getting into the rhythm, Teekashana is a talent, has got lots of variety, he is getting wickets with his skills. Pathirana, you can say new, but he his talented
